PR Aqua: Who We Are, What We Do

Originally founded in 1985 as Pacific Rim Aquaculture, we were pioneers in filtration and fish handling technologies and innovators of solutions for the blossoming global aquaculture market. In 1998 the engineering and design services division was opened and for more than 20 years, PR Aqua has been providing integrated water treatment and fish handling solutions for both the public and commercial aquaculture industries. The PR Aqua team is a group of project management and engineering professionals with specific expertise in aquaculture systems design, construction, and operation, specializing in Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS).

Through many years of experience in delivering successful Recirculating Aquaculture Systems, PR Aqua has developed an approach to project delivery that meets the goals of our customers for quality, delivery, and cost control. We employ a Design-Supply-Support project delivery method that is service and technology focused and provides optimal value to the project owner.

PR Aqua is proud to be the North American distributor for Hydrotech drum, disc & belt filters for the aquaculture industry. The Hydrotech line of microscreen filtration equipment is the premium brand globally with over 7,000 installations. PR Aqua also works cooperatively with many other equipment manufacturers and designs custom equipment to provide the best solution for the application and customers’ needs.
