Pure Salmon to build HQ in Abu Dhabi

Land-based aquaculture company Pure Salmon is set to establish a headquarters in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) capital of Abu Dhabi.
The company’s Abud Dhabi headquarters will manage Pure Salmon’s facilities in France, Japan, Poland and the United States.
“Setting up Pure Salmon’s global headquarters in Abu Dhabi will enable the growth of a local team that will advance sustainable economic solutions and establish the UAE as an industry leader,” said Stephane Farouze, chairman and founder of 8F Asset Management and the board of Pure Salmon.
8F Asset Management, which was founded in 2016, is a global investment group that develops land-based fish farms using recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) technology.
Pure Salmon, has partnered with Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) as part of an initiative to boost UAE’s aquaculture technology ecosystem, according to a press release from the company.
The ADIO has AED 2 billion innovation program which aimed to assist companies expand their businesses in Abu Dhabi and help tackle food insecurity.
As part of the agreement, Pure Salmon will receive financial and non-financial incentives to advance food sustainability through salmon farming technology.
“The introduction of Pure Salmon’s pioneering technology and knowledge to Abu Dhabi’s ecosystem will enhance the emirate’s aquaculture capabilities and create a hub from which new agriculture solutions can proliferate,” according to Tariq bin Hendi, director general of ADIO.
