Integrated Aqua completes RAS installation for salmonid research
August 8, 2023 By Nestor Arellano

California-based Integrated Aqua Systems Inc. said it has recently completed a recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) installation for Lake Superior State University (LSSU).
The system will be used for the university’s freshwater salmonid research systems.
The installation involved four independent RAS with temperature control, water quality monitoring/control, influent and effluent filtration using a drum filter.
IAS supplied a complete scope of equipment for this project, including its INTEGRATED Filter Modules, SITA medium pressure UV SMP Series UV Sterilizers, Water Quality Monitoring and Controls with Prominent AEGIS II Controller, and INTEGRATED Filtration Systems.
The SITA medium pressure UV SMP Series UV Sterilizers provide effective and reliable disinfection of the water in the RAS.
The Prominent AEGIS II Controller allow for the monitoring and control of key water quality parameters, including dissolved oxygen, temperature, pH, and ammonia.
The he INTEGRATED Filtration Systems ensure that the influent and effluent water is properly filtered and treated while recirculating throughout the system.
