Singapore-based ornamental fish service company Qian Hu Corp. Ltd., has invested $1 million SGD in AquaEasy Pte Ltd., a provider or artificial intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) technology to shrimp farmers.

While widely known for providing more than 1,000 species and varieties of ornamental fish and distributing aquarium accessories, Qian Hu has also developed a recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) for intensive fish farming. The company’s chief executive office, Yap Kok Cheng, said that partnering with AquaEasy will boost Qian Hu’s capabilities.

“By using our Hydropure and nanobubble technologies, we developed a recirculated aquaculture system for super intensive shrimp farming which achieves higher output compared to traditional shrimp farming methods,” he said. “With AquaEasy, our aquaculture processes can achieve higher productivity and profitability with its revolutionary intelligent feeding systems using IoT technology.”

AquaEasy has actually been collaborating with Qian Hu since 2020. The company’s cloud and AI technologies are being used to collect and analyze data from Qian Hu’s shrimp farm in Chao Chu Kang, in the Western Region of Singapore.
