ENTEC Brimer to provide RAS tanks for Soul of Japan

Japanese land-based salmon producer, Soul of Japan has signed a with Norwegian fish farming equipment company ENTEC Brimer to supply fish tanks for its recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) facility. Soul of Japan is the Japanese subsidiary of France-based aquaculture company, Pure Salmon.

The collaboration between ENTEC Brimer and Soul of Japan includes the delivery and installation of fish tanks to the Japanese company’s salmon RAS facility in Tsu City, Mie prefecture. The facility is located near Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka. This facilitates that easy distribution of salmon to Japan’s main consumption centres.

“We are excited to partner with Soul of Japan in bringing sustainable and high-quality salmon to Japan,” Håvard Haanes, chief executive of ENTEC Brimer. “The delivery of our fish tanks and our involvement in finding solutions for the other equipment of the facility demonstrates our commitment to finding efficient and top-notched solutions and services to our customers.”

ENTEC Brimer is a tech company that provides equipment and services focused on the municipal technical market, land-based fish farming, fish processing and other industries.

“The agreement with ENTEC Brimer contributes to Pure Salmon’s objective to deliver sustainable, healthy, and high-quality salmon in Japan and across the world,” said Joyce Badran, deputy head of construction at Pure Salmon.

Through the Soul of Japan, Pure Salmon is among the several aquaculture companies that have recently opened up RAS operations in Japan. Other companies in the space include Proximar Seafood AS, Mitsubishi & Kamome Mirai, Kotoura Grand Salmon, and Mitsui-owned, FRD Japan.
