Arctic char producer Matorka expands team, unveils new website

Icelandic land-based Arctic char producer, Matorka has expanded its team.

The company appointed Cees-Jan Bastiaansen as chief sustainability officer and Janneke Van der Linde as the new sea-rooted sales manager, Europe.

“I love telling the story of sustainable seafood. As part of the Matorka team, I’m excited to work with people so dedicated and experienced, that every day will bring me new insight and things to learn. Together, we can achieve wonderful things,” said Van der Linde.

Earlier in the year, the company re-branded and recently launched a new website to show its Icelandic roots.

“With hard work over the past few weeks, we invite you to dive deeper into our world of sustainable Arctic char, the unique story behind Matorka, our magical location, and more. Founded by three women, Matorka brings you a sustainable story behind your food. Visit our site for the inspirational story,” the press release from the company reads.
