NAF Tech develops the company’s unique land-based production modules.

NAF Tech supports the company’s ongoing operations in Norway and Denmark. The division is involved in technical improvements, and research and development projects in various production environments.

“I’m very happy that Mikkel is our new Group CTO and Head of NAF Tech. Mikkel has extensive experience from RAS-design and construction, and together with his team in NAF Tech and our experienced production managers in Norway, Denmark and USA, I feel confident that Nordic Aquafarms will have the world’s best RAS-farms,” Bernt Olav Røttingsnes, company CEO, said in a recent statement.

NAF Tech  is comprised of a team of 10 people with extensive experience in RAS development and construction. Before joining Nordic Aquafarms, the team developed smolt, post-smolt and grow-out facilities as part of Inter Aqua Advance. They also developed facilities for several companies such as Grieg Seafoods and Marine Harvest/Mowi.

Nordic Aquafarms has plans to broaden its RAS project on the Samoa Peninsula in Humboldt County, California.

The company also plans to build a land-based fish farm near Little River in Belfast, Maine.
