AquaMaof appoints former VP as company CEO
September 25, 2023 By Nestor Arellano
Recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS) technologies company AquaMaof announced that it has named Eli Amar as its new chief executive officer.
Amar will replace David Hazut, who will finish his tenure as AquaMoaf’s CEO, a role he has held for 13 years. Amar served as AquaMaof’s VP of strategy for the last four years.
The new CEO brings over 16 years of experience in corporate development and mergers & acquisitions to the company.
Prior to joining AquaMaof, he worked at Adama Agricultural Solutions where he played a key role in multiple high-profile transactions, including the group’s $3.7 billion merger with ChemChina, a Chinese chemical manufactuer.
“This is an exciting moment for AquaMaof, and I’m sure that under Eli’s leadership, the company will break through to new records and achievements. As one of the company’s founders and the new chairman of the board, I have full confidence in Eli, and together with the great management and employees of AquaMaof, the company will reach remarkable achievements,” said Hazut.
The company has RAS projects with companies in the fish industry worldwide.
