Hyde Road secures loan to expand West Coast facility

April 15, 2020  By  Nestor Arellano

Hyde Road Agricultural Associates can now proceed with plans to expand its aquaculture facility in California, thanks to a fresh loan of $14 million from investment firms Hunter Street Partners and CapitalView Investments.

Hyde Road operates a commercial fish farm with a large inventory of antibiotic-free white sturgeon, black bass, silver carp, and striped bass. The company has been operating in Dixon, California since 2014.

Hyde Road has made significant investments in the aquaculture facility in order to increase its stock of white sturgeon.

The multi-million dollar senior term loan will enable Hyde Road to construct a new indoor hatchery, several grow tanks and an on-site processing building for large-scale harvest stock processing.

Part of the financing will be used by the company to refinance existing debt.

“We’re pleased to support the growth and further development of the Company’s sustainable aquaculture facility, which at scale will represent a meaningful share of the domestic and global market for white sturgeon,” said Hunter Street partner Andrew Platt.

Hunter Street Partners is a Minneapolis-based alternative investment management firm that provides capital solutions to operating partner teams and lower middle market companies across corporate finance, real estate, and specialty finance.

CapitalView Investment Partners, L.P. is a lower-middle market private investment firm based in Bethesda, Maryland.
