Nova Scotia-based Sedna Technologies has a new general manager for its subsidiary in Stavanger, Norway.

Mia Guttorm Moseng recently graduated from Nord University with a Bachelor’s degree in Aquaculture Operations and Management. She also has a Bachelor’s degree in biological chemistry from the University of Stavanger.

She was born and raised north of the Arctic Circle in Norway. She completed a one-year mandatory military service as the only firewoman, among 49 firemen at Norway’s main Ørlandet Airforce Base – Fire and Rescue Service.

“I myself was hired at a young age,” said Tron Severinsen, Sedna Norwegian partner. “For me, it is now very rewarding to be able to pay this forward and give other young people the same opportunities in this fantastic industry. Bjørn Myrseth took and change and believed in me 37 years ago, and for that I am forever grateful.”
