Pure Salmon Technology has acquired Graintec’s HyFlowTM waterborne feed technology to deliver feed solutions for both Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS) and flowthrough systems.

HyFlowTM is a feeding solution that delivers pellets to fish gently and efficiently, ensuring that they receive the nutrients they need.

Pure Salmon Technology’s CEO, Kent Kongsdal Rasmussen, said the acquisition aligns with the company’s feed offerings.

“Pure Salmon Technology has undergone rapid development in a short period of time, and this development continues, focusing, among other things, on technologies and solutions that complement our core business, namely RAS design. The acquisition of HyFlowTM is another step in expanding our platform for the benefit of our customers,” said Rasmussen.

The company has also hired Leif Grønbæk Holm, who brings valuable expertise from Graintec and is excited about opportunities with the acquisition.

“This is a unique opportunity to strengthen the focus on feed delivery within RAS facilities and optimize the feeding process, a substantial part of fish farming. It also allows for further development of HyFlowTM-based feeding solutions for both new and existing installations,” said Holm. “This simplifies operation, data collection, and analysis for our customers. The entire process of handling feed is covered using gentle technologies. This includes delivery, transport, storage and distribution of feed in the RAS facility.”

Holm will lead the process of integrating the new technology at Pure Salmon Technology.
