American Mariculture Inc. will be making an appearance at the upcoming Marine Finfish Aquaculture Summit (MFAS) on May 20-22 in Fort Pierce, Florida.

The Florida Marine Aquaculture Coalition (FMAC) Marine Finfish Aquaculture Summit will bring together experts in seafood aquaculture who will facilitate discussions to provide a roadmap for financially, ecologically, and socially licensed finfish aquaculture development.

Robin Pearl, president of American Mariculture Inc., will present “Navigating New Waters: How Tariffs Could Ignite a Seafood Aquaculture Revolution in America,” based on years of experience with international seafood aquaculture trade.

“With new trade tariffs upending the dominance of certain seafood imports, a rare window has opened to resurrect American seafood aquaculture—an industry sidelined for decades. My presentation dives into how these disruptions could spark a bold resurgence, transforming the U.S. into a powerhouse of sustainable seafood production. We’ll unpack the stakes—jobs, food security, and economic growth—and chart a course to turn a challenge into triumph,” said Pearl.

According to a press release from FMAC, “While recent tariff disruptions are good for some and not so good for others, American seafood aquaculture stands to gain with more favourable seafood trade relations.”

FMAC continues to champion seafood aquaculture in Florida, the Gulf, and the Caribbean Region.
