Nordic Aqua signs with AKVA group for 8,000-tonne China project

Nordic Aqua Partners is looking to double its production capacity of its Ningbo, China facility.

The company has signed a RAS contract with AKVA Group to execute the Phase 2 expansion that will bring the Atlantic salmon grow-out facility from 4,000 tonnes to 8,000 tonnes annually. The contract’s estimate value is €40 million (US$42.7 million) and the contract will be added to AKVA’s order backlog in Q1 2023.

AKVA has also signed the RAS contract for the additional 12,000 tonnes if NOAP decides to realise the project.
