AQUAFEEDS: A NEW EQUILIBRIUM

Today, Asia’s aquafeed industry is facing unprecedented challenges arising not only from the pandemic but also global trends – rising ingredient and high freight costs, supply chain disruptions and the push for use of more sustainable feed ingredients. While inflationary cost increases affect all players along the supply chain and is a new normal for aquaculture as a whole, it is particularly difficult for feedmillers in Asia tasked with supporting its growth.

There is a need to future proof the industry for the next decade, among them with sustainable feeds to meet consumer demands and reduce its carbon footprint.

The Aquaculture Roundtable Series® (TARS) 2022 seeks to help the aquafeed industry and other stakeholders navigate these challenges by looking into a new equilibrium with feed costs and feed efficiency.
