AquaBounty Technologies Inc. announced that it will be selling its land-based recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) operation in Albany, Ia. According to a company statement, AquaBounty said the decision to sell the Indiana farm was to "prioritize the financing alternatives necessary" to complete the construction of its Ohio farm.

Norwegian RAS builder, Pure Salmon Technology, has been tapped to build the first salmon RAS project in Saudi Arabia. Topian, a NEOM food company based in Saudi Arabia, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Pure Salmon on Feb. 7, ahead of the Saudi International Marine Exhibition & Conference (Feb. 10-11).
