MOU signing ceremony (Photo: ARK Co.) Japanese land-based aquaculture company, ARK Inc., has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for a fisheries project in Abu Dhabi.
The agreement, done with Global Engineering under the leadership of the Abu Dhabi Food Security Authority, will see ARK provide production facilities to achieve the government’s target of producing 30,000 tons of fish through land-based aquaculture by 2030.
Together with project partners, including Seatec Co., ARK will construct an integrated fisheries complex, “SAKANANTIS,” to build one of the world’s largest-scale fisheries facilities.
This facility will cover all stages of aquaculture, from fry and feed production to sorting and processing.
